What I lack in youth, I make up for with immaturity

Wreck Reational Shopping.
I’ve seen this impressive graphic on other blogs tonight, and having led a life totally berift of originality, decided to copy it here also.  The source is this WSJ article.

To put it in a personal context, a few days ago, my wife and I went to a local shopping mall to pick up a few last minute Christmas presents.  This indoor mall, located at a major suburban intersection, is anchored by Penny’s, Sears, Kohl’s and Macy’s.  Walking from one anchor to the next was a surreal, depressing, almost spooky experience.  At least 75% of the stores are closed and secured with iron grill-work.  There were almost no other shoppers.  When we did see one, in what felt like the corrodore of a prison, we drew close together, and clutched our packages more tightly.
This looks to me like symptoms of the unfolding next great depression.  Some other takes can been seen at these links.
